Dr. Eliza Mountcastle Shah is Co-founder and CEO of Lifter Leadership Company. A multi-talented leader, Eliza studied neuroscience and Harvard University receiving her PhD in Genetics and Neurodevelopment. She has special expertise in human communications, productive dialog, expression, the power of giving, organizational behavior and creating and holding spaces that foster ease, communication and harmony. As a post-doctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutes, her research was in the area of Genetics and Public Policy, in particular, technology transfer from Academia to Application and the role of Media in translating Scientific Discoveries for use the General Public.
Currently, Eliza is founder of Lifter Leadership, a global training and transformation company focused on the power of positivity, purpose, compassion, creativity, authenticity and action in organizations. Lifter Leadership solves the Top 5 problems organizations face: 1) the Need for Innovation 2) Worker Motivation 3) Trust and Loyalty 4) Social Responsibility and Diversity 5) Workplace Well Being. Lifter Leadership has been described by clients as “a Modern day 7-Habits of Effective People” for today’s troubled times of broken leadership. The Lifter Leadership model is being applied to corporations, non-profits, governments, educational institutions and more. Dr. Shah is under contract with IdeaPress Publishing to publish his forthcoming book Entitled “Lifters - -Everyday ordinary citizens who uplift their customers, coworkers, community and company - -on purpose”. In addition to her scientific training, Eliza is deeply studied in human transformational practices, organizational behavior, wisdom sciences, alternative healing modalities and music therapy. She has been active in Hospice care for 20 years. She is a contemplative Musician specializing in voice and harp music delivery as a healing and palliative care modality. She is an Ambassador of the Chalice of Repose School of Music Thanatology. Eliza has been married for 29 years and is the mother of four children.
